Our SECOND Visitors (This Time Back)

About a month ago my mom called and told me they were thinking of coming to visit. So, they came. They drove (from Texas) and got here about 11AM on Monday, the 9th. It didn’t snow this time, but there was snow all over the ground, so I think my mom still enjoyed it. We walked around camp on Monday and up to the mailbox. It was pretty cold–probably around 26-28 degrees!

Monday night we went to The Pizza Peel for dinner and The Coffee Hub for dessert–you can’t come to Lacon without hitting those two places!

Mom and Dad’s 50th anniversary is coming up in June, so she thought it might be nice if we got some pictures taken of each “family” with mom/dad. So, my friend, Kathy, from church came out to camp on Tuesday and took our picture.

They turned out really good. So, after taking pictures with us, Mom/Dad are going to take pictures with Leslie and her crew when they are in Michigan, and then in May, when they go to Hawaii, they’ll take pictures with Marcy and her family.

After warming up (it was COLD) after pictures, we didn’t do much on Tuesday afternoon. We ran a couple of errands around Lacon and then they rested!

While they were here we played several games at night. We played Upwords (about 6 times), “Baseball” (a card game), and Sorry.

On Wednesday we spent most of the day in Peoria, shopping and going grocery shopping! Thanks for taking me grocery shopping, Dad; it’s my love language! 🙂

They left on Thursday morning to head toward Michigan to see Leslie and her crew. Tomorrow, in Fort Gratiot, the high is supposed to be THREE DEGREES! They only THOUGHT it was cold here! 🙂

Thanks for coming Mom/Dad! 🙂
